Acceptance

All bookings accepted by Zenzele River Lodge are subject to these Terms and Conditions that are deemed to have been accepted in full by the Client/Guest. Payment of a deposit also indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

 

General

Staying at Zenzele River Lodge is not intended to confer possession on the Client/Guest or to create the relationship of landlord and tenant between us and the Client/Guest. The Client/Guest will not be entitled to any form of tenancy. The Client/Guest confirms that they will not be occupying the serviced unit as their only or principal home.

 

Lodge vehicles must be used for game drives. No private vehicles allowed on the ranch for game drives. Any bushwalks/ mountain biking will be at own risk. Adhere to the speed limit of 20km/h at all times. No alcohol may be brought onto the premises unless arranged with reservation office. All children are the responsibility of the parents as crocodiles and hippo’s and other dangerous animals are seen from time to time.

 

Reservations & Payment

Your booking is only confirmed when we email written confirmation of booking following receipt of payment of the deposit. When a booking is made, 50% of the total invoice is required in advance to confirm the reservation. The balance (if any), of the booking charge, is to be paid seven (7) days prior to the arrival date or as per arrangement with the reservation office. If we do not receive full payment by this time, the reservation may be cancelled and a percentage of the deposit withheld. The Client/Guest may be liable for the balance of the booking. Payment must be made in South African Rand (ZAR) and must be clear of all bank charges, exchange rate variations and any other deductions. Under no circumstances will accommodation be provided until we have received full payment of the booking. Failure to pay in accordance with the agreed terms of payment may result in loss of your booking.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be notified to us in writing. A change of arrival date or departure date by the Client/Guest may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking. We recommend that the Client/Guest insures against cancellation.

45 – 15 days - 50 % of the total amount is forfeited

14 – 07 days - 80 % of the total amount is forfeited

7 days or less - 100 % of the total amount is forfeited

 

Refunds

No refunds for any portion of time or booking period not used.

 

Arrivals & Departures

Rooms and cottages are available for occupation after 13:00h on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated and keys returned by 10:00h on the day of departure. If there is a delay in vacating the serviced unit beyond 10:00h, a full day's rental may be charged to the Client/Guest. Early arrival and late departures are possible if the room concerned is not required.

 

Broadband

Broadband internet access is provided at the main lodge on request and only available at wifi hotspot area or conference facilities. Although we will endeavour to assist with any connection problems, Zenzele River Lodge accepts no responsibility for the inability to connect to this facility or to reception problems due to weather or service provider problems.

 

Property Use & Conditions

The Client/Guest is responsible for taking all reasonable care of the premises. Any breakage or damage must be reported to us without delay. Zenzele River Lodge will not be held responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects howsoever arising at the lodge or its grounds. Smoking is not permitted in the chalets/suites or rooms.

This information goes into our property management system to accommodate your booking. We do not share this information to any other party. We may also ask for personal information when you contact our reservations department. This will allow us to protect your confidentiality by verifying your identity.

 

Following a stay at our lodge, your information is collected and stored by our lodge, and subsequently transferred to a centralized database. Your business with us is valued and we may use the record of your stay to send you via postal mail or email, communications such as guest surveys or promotional offers and benefits. You may "opt-out" or choose to be excluded from these communications by noting this on your guest registration during your stay or by contacting our office. We will not send you any sales promotional communications or special offers unless you have consented to receive such communications.

 

Our web sites do not intentionally solicit or collect personal information about children under the age of 13. If you are under 13 and would like to use our web site, please ask a parent or guardian for assistance.

 

Some of our promotional offers have a "Tell A Friend" feature that allows you to have the offer sent to a friend with your comment. If you choose to use this feature, we collect the email address of your friend(s) to facilitate the referral but do not store it for other uses.
